I am a huge believer in having the right mindset when transitioning from an employee to an entrepreneur. It’s not just shits and giggles here, young Padawan. And even if you have been in business for a while, there’s always an ever-expanding room for self-improvement.

P.S. if you don’t consider yourself as an entrepreneur, but you are still making money in one way or another, these will be helpful to you, too.

I invite you to explore the books that have had the biggest impact on my mindset and my bank account so far.

1. Discover Your Authentic Self by Sherrie Dillard

I come back and refer to this book whenever I feel…lost. There is something in this book that just left me thinking “this sounds like HOME” after every chapter. I was the most intrigued by the archetype descriptions at the very end of the book. I cannot express how important is to know yourself VERY well when you are an entrepreneur. Because, if you know yourself well, you will create a business around YOU, not around what OTHERS think you should do.

2. Thank & Grow Rich by Pam Grout

Not to be confused with Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill (although that one is great, too!). This book has completely changed my perception of gratitude. I recommend it to everyone who wants to transform their life. After reading and implementing the 30-day experiment that the author talks about in the book, my income has increased twice. And, I was a lot more happy than before, too. I actually was so impressed, that I continued the “experiment” for 3 more months.

3. The War of Art by Steven Pressfield

You have probably heard of this one before – it’s extremely popular and for a reason! If you have ever struggled with a writer’s block (hello, blogging???) or any other creative activity, then you need to read this book. Also, I want YOU to know that you are not alone.

4. Straight Line Leadership by Dusan Djukich

This is a very… masculine book. If you need a good kick in the butt, grab it. It’s full of wisdom, short and to the point. And it will teach you everything you need to know about being an effective leader as an entrepreneur/ blogger/ creative/ human. This book used to be out of print and you would’ve been lucky to find it for under $100, but now it’s back in print!

5. Tapping Into Wealth by Margaret M. Lynch

You probably shouldn’t listen to this one as an audiobook. Read it. Read it again. Then do what it says. Thank me later. 😉

These have been my favorite books so far. Have you read any of these or are planning to? Let me know!
